A basic compact multi-standard radio - ideal for mobile use where you don't want all the extra features.

Like all the latest radios, this is a multi-standard radio so that it can be used in both the UK and most European countries. In the UK it covers all 80 legal FM channels, when use in other European countries it is also capable of operating on AM.

Identical in size to the no-longer-available Midland 38 and 98, we also have an optional "DIN" adapter for fitting the radio into a standard ISO-DIN radio slot.

The radio has only the basic controls you need: volume, squelch and channel change. There is also a preset "auto-squelch".

The channel display is a blue LED, rather than the more common LCD display. This has the advantage that it can be viewed from any angle, whereas LCD displays become faint when viewed at some angles (particularly from below).

The microphone has a 4 pin plug on it and does not have channel change buttons on it (which some customers like but others say they catch them by mistake).

After an absence of many years from the UK, Cobra is finally back with a brand new compact radio.

The Cobra 19DX IV EU is a new multistandard radio for use throughout Europe, and can be easily programmed for use on any of the European bands, including the UK.

In the UK it operates on FM only, but in countries where AM is permitted it is AM/FM switchable.

The 29 LX features a modern aesthetic design with a selectable LCD color display in red, green, blue, or amber to complement the interior of any cab. The display also has customizable night and day settings to enhance readability in both very bright and very dark conditions. In addition, Cobra’s latest CB Radio features a new clock/timer that enables drivers to track their on-time driving hours. The driver clock/timer also functions as an alarm clock.
